The setting for the Sister Sleuth Mysteries is based on a small ocean-side community where we lived for several years.  The dogs in the books are based on our pets, a Border collie named Gracie and a white golden retriever named Spirit. All our pets over the years, three dogs and three cats, have been adopted. Although Gracie crossed over Rainbow Bridge, Spirit has been with us in travels to other countries. Quite an achievement for a dog penned the first year of his life in a small yard, afraid to venture beyond his own shadow.

After years in the business world, I now spend my time writing, in the world of Lea, Maddy, and the dogs. Along the way, I’ve also written nonfiction; however,  just like Lea, I love mysteries and my heart lies with the sister sleuths.
